The divisions have developed the following instruments
The division has developed products such as Bifurcated Vascular Graft, 3D compression bandages for Lymphedema, Spunlace non-woven wound dressings for malodour wounds, Breathable Surgical gowns treated with Nano Finishes, Barbed – bi-directional surgical sutures, Hospital bed linens with enhanced thermal properties for coma patients, Hernia Mesh, Clinical Heart patch fabrics, Insole line for diabetic shoes
Development of textile matrices for the effective wound management, Design and development of an automated equipment to produce knotless incision closures patients, Development of Leuko depletion blood filter are the ongoing MoT funded projects.
Development of self assembled peptide hydrogel based bioactive dressing material for chronic wounds is the ongoing DST funded project
Contract research projects are 60% sponsored by Ministry of Textiles and 40% by Industry. There are currently two contract research projects in progress

As on date, the division has trained more than 3000 persons on various areas of medical textiles.
Staff of the division have published 15 research papers and 6 review paper in various journals like Asian Textile Journal, Journal of Academia and Industrial Research (JAIR), International Journal of Emerging Technology & Advanced Engineering
